Surgical Procedures

Surgical procedures provide longer-lasting correction to fine lines, folds, and other blemishes. Dr. Brown’s surgical facial procedures include:

Brow Lift

Stress, sun exposure, and aging may cause skin laxity issues around the forehead and eyes. A brow lift prevents these lines from forming by raising the skin over the eyebrows, removing excess fat, and repositioning the underlying muscles and tissues to provide a more youthful aesthetic. [1]

Nose Reshaping

A nose reshaping procedure, or rhinoplasty, corrects aesthetic imperfections and breathing to the nose and improves breathing. [2] Dr. Brown performs two types of rhinoplasties: open and closed. Each approach dictates where the incision is placed; inside the nostrils or outside the nose. However, both methods provide profound results to the overall symmetry and functionality of the nose.

Ethnic Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)

Dr. Brown is sensitive to providing an aesthetic that enhances patients’ natural essence while preserving their ethnic identity. Under anesthesia, Dr. Brown performs an ethnic rhinoplasty by making the appropriate incisions within the nostrils or near the nose. Then, with the help of specialized tools, and highly refined techniques, Dr. Brown can reconstruct the underlying nasal structure.

Eyelid Rejuvenation

Excess or lax skin around the eyes can impart an angry or tired-looking expression. A surgical correction to the eyelids can provide your visage with an alert, refreshed appearance. The procedure makes a discreet incision in the eyelid creases so Dr. Brown can concentrate on the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, transconjunctival lower eyelids (behind the lower eyelid), or both to reduce fine lines and enhance your field of vision.

Facelift

Dr. Brown utilizes a facelift to address facial folds and volume loss. First, incisions are made around the hairline or ears to access the underlying facial structures and reposition the skin. [1] Each patient can choose from a full, mid, or mini facelift to address their own unique set of concerns.

Neck Lift

Known medically as a platysmaplasty, a neck lift corrects wrinkles by removing excess skin and fat from the neck. First, Dr. Brown skillfully makes an incision around and behind the ears. [1] Then, neck muscles are carefully tightened, and excess skin and fat are removed to produce a smoother, slimmer profile. Patients can choose this procedure as a standalone treatment or combine it with a facelift, browlift, or eyelid rejuvenation.

Minimally-Invasive Procedures

Patients who want to make changes to the face but prefer not to undergo surgical intervention or lengthy downtimes will benefit from our minimally invasive treatments. They may include only small incisions, if any, and have short recovery times that are convenient for your busy lifestyle.

FaceTite

A FaceTite treatment is a non-surgical answer to a traditional facelift. It is an effective way to improve skin elasticity and reduce fat deposits in the face and neck. The procedure is performed by placing a small device on the face. It emits radiofrequency waves to liquify fat cells, induce fat cell death, increase collagen, and recontour your facial features.

PRP and Stem Cells

This innovative method takes advantage of the healing properties found in your blood cells or fat tissue (stem cells) to reduce facial lines. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a helpful supplement that is extracted from a simple blood draw, processed, and re-introduced to the body to stimulate healing and collagen production beneath the skin. As time progresses, your body’s regenerative response reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

Thread Lifts

Thread lifts are another alternative to a traditional facelift. Dr. Brown uses NovaThread, a biocompatible thread containing PDO (polydioxanone) that the body can safely absorb. [1] When inserted into the skin, the procedure creates a lifted appearance, stimulates collagen production, and gradually improves skin firmness.

Benefits of a Facial Rejuvenation

Patients can enjoy a younger aesthetic with any facial rejuvenation. Some procedures can be performed by themselves or combined to provide dramatic outcomes. Other advantages to count on are:

  • A poised appearance without wrinkles, sagging skin, or uneven skin tone
  • Sleeker contours to the face
  • Healthier, smoother skin by addressing acne and acne scarring
  • Increased  collagen production to strengthen skin
  • Diverse rejuvenating options ranging from minimally invasive to surgical enhancements

How to Prepare

Your instructions are tailored especially for you. However, below are general guidelines on preparing weeks before your facial rejuvenation treatments.

  • Do without tobacco and alcohol just until the treatment is entirely over. These habits may impede recovery.
  • Keep your skin nourished by staying moisturized, hydrated, and protected from the sun.
  • Temporarily halt certain medications such as NSAIDs and blood thinners.
  • Surgical patients will need to arrange transportation from our facility because the effects of anesthesia may impair your ability to drive.
  • Arrive at your appointment refreshed and without makeup.
