Preparation
Dr. Brown will advise any lifestyle changes that you may need to make, or medications that you may need to stop taking before your procedure, during your personal consultation. PRP and Stem Cell rejuvenation treatments are fairly painless compared to other cosmetic procedures. However, depending on your needs, and how your treatment is administered, Dr. Brown may apply topical numbing or local anaesthesia.

Procedure
Both PRP and Stem Cell treatments are straightforward, minimally invasive, and quick!
They’ll begin by either drawing blood (PRP) or fat via liposuction (Stem Cell treatment). These substances are then processed to purify and harness their revitalizing power, and then converted into serums.
For PRP treatments, blood is drawn from from the arm, and the PRP is separated from the rest of the blood’s components in a centrifuge. For a Stem Cell rejuvenation treatment, you’ll be prepped with local anaesthesia before a quick liposuction procedure, usually in the “love handle” area. The small amount of fat removed is then processed and the stem cells are extracted.
After numbing the treatment area, Dr. Brown carefully injects either the PRP or Stem Cells into multiple places under the skin.
Another procedure that uses PRP and Stem Cells is a microneedling facial. The skin of the face is exfoliated, prepped, and then incised with tiny, sterile needles to open up channels. These openings allow the serum to make its way into the surface of the skin, where it can get to work.
Recovery
PRP and Stem Cell facial rejuvenation procedures are fast and simple! If there’s any special care or medication necessary afterwards, Dr. Brown will make sure that you’re well-equipped with the necessary resources.

The Stem Cells used in your facial are isolated from a sample of your own fat. Who would have a problem with using a little unwanted fat to achieve supple, glowing skin?

Will the liposuction for my Stem Cell facial get rid of my love handles?
Unfortunately, only a very small amount of fat is needed, and not a noticeable amount. However, Dr. Brown does offer a full range of liposuction and body contouring services!
