Will it hurt?
Dr. Brown performs breast augmentation with the patient under general anesthesia, meaning you will not feel pain during surgery and will be able to sleep comfortably through it. After surgery, you will have pain medication available to use. Tightness/soreness in the chest and some bruising and swelling should be expected. Take it easy for the first few days and properly care for your incisions and you should have a very easy recovery.
How much time off of work will I need?
You should feel ready to go to work or take care of your usual daily activities within about a week after surgery. Dr. Brown may suggest you take longer if your job is particularly physical in nature.

What can I do to protect my results as I heal?
Take care of your surgical incisions as instructed to minimize the risk of infection and minimize scarring. For the first 4 to 6 weeks after getting breast implants, you will be asked to wear a special supportive bra at all times, including while sleeping. It is recommended that you sleep on your back with your upper body slightly elevated. Many women find that sleeping in a recliner or in bed propped up on extra pillows is a comfortable way to sleep in the weeks following breast enhancement surgery.
When will I see my results?
Right after your breast augmentation surgery, you may notice that your implants “sit high” on your chest. This is not cause for alarm. The implants will naturally settle into place over time, usually within 3 to 6 months after surgery. The feel of the implants will also soften.
